If you don't upload a lot and the price is comparable, always go with FTTH. If there's a significant price difference (there usually isn't), cable internet is fine.

I didn't want to pay $100 anymore so I went to the nearest fido/rogers kiosk and they wanted me to switch to rogers. I'm now paying $25/75gb for my phone plan + $45/1.5gbps for internet (with the wifi7 router) with home phone landline + they threw in a basic tv bundle for free.
